Centres of Expertise

The key to successful cooperation

Centres of expertise have the purpose of facilitating the use of internationally recognised first-rate knowledge and competence as a resource in business operations, job creation and regional development. To achieve this objective, the centres of expertise:

  • utilise and distribute top-level expertise in the competence cluster and region
  • create a long-term innovation strategy based on the needs and opportunities of the region
  • increase cooperation between business, research, education and other public bodies
  • prepare business-driven public-private partnerships in collaboration with diverse parties
  • promote the generation of creative innovation environments
  • activate company growth and internationalisation

The Centre of Expertise Programme is implemented by 21 centres of expertise and three affiliate members.
