The Jyväskylä Paper Production centre of expertise forms a network for the paper, pulp, mechanical engineering, energy and information technology sectors. The region produces paper and board machines, industrial equipment, measuring devices, paper products, chemicals, automation and information systems, and design and consulting services.
The main emphasis is on importing, implementing and productising enabling technologies in the market. Regional structural analyses, modelling, development of industrial measurement, instrumentation and information technologies, equipment and paper machine design, and bio- and nanoscientific research provide an excellent basis for such activities. The centre also offers expertise in flow physics, computational engineering, dendrochemistry and packaging.
