Forest Industry Future

In the Forest Industry Future cluster programme, the centre of expertise is responsible for the Composites and Intelligent Wooden Structures theme. The aim is to create new markets and applications for the mechanical forest industry in particular, to promote the generation of new product applications and to improve product safety. Some of the methods used encourage the adoption of new business models in the SME sector and increase cooperation between companies. The centre of expertise promotes the adoption of new technologies and product applications, such as wood-plastic composites, among SMEs. Another focus area is the development of SME operations in the wood product industry and manufacturing and testing environments for wood composite products.
