Our main goal is to promote the wide and cost-efficient use of renewable energy, as well as the export of Finnish energy technology and services.
Our core competences are biomass resources, production of wood biomass, harvesting and logistics of energy wood, and production of solid biofuels. Competence areas that we share with the Living Business and Forest Industry Future clusters include energy and material-efficient building, energy systems and energy efficiency in housing, and the life cycle analyses of biofuel and wood products. Solar energy and energy-efficient lighting are examples of nanotechnology applications in the energy sector.
