Oulu is Finland’s most R&D-intensive area, with 12% of the region’s GDP spent on RD&I investments. The Oulu region networks internationally with partners in the USA, Japan, developing Asian economies and Europe.

The Oulu Region Centre of Expertise Programme is managed and coordinated by Oulu Innovation Ltd. Oulu Innovation is a development organisation assisting growth-oriented technology companies in the region. Its primary duty is to support companies in their attempts to succeed on the international market.
