Environmental Technology
Environmental technology products of the future will increasingly consist of cross-technological complete systems that solve entire sets of problems for customers. The Oulu Region Environmental Technology competence cluster promotes cooperation between operators and produces new products, systems and services based on high-level competence and research for Finnish and foreign environment markets. The main ventures are:
- CEWIC, which brings together companies, research institutions and public bodies in the water sector, with the aim of producing new systems and services for water and waste water treatment
- SkyPro Oulu, whose aim is to turn the Oulu region into a nationally and internationally recognised industrial centre specialising in air research and air purification
- Developing renewable energy and material efficiency functions
