Nanotechnology
Oulu’s expertise is in multitechnological production and the integration of micro- and nanostructures, as well as reel-to-reel production. These enable the cheap and rapid manufacture of components. In material technology, novel components and refined practices in the product development, production and testing of electronics are created through electroceramics and nanostructured materials, as well as the production and system integration of micro- and nano-scaled structures.
New international growth-oriented business is created in the following strategic areas:
- Strengthening existing companies in preparation for international business operations and the use of nanotechnology in products
- The PrintoCent innovation centre gathers together competencies in printable intelligence and optical measurement, led by multinational corporations, in order to develop new business regionally, nationally and internationally
