Raahe Region

Raahe Region Technology Centre Ltd (RRTC) aims to create and develop competitive business of metal industry and its ICT technology in co-operation with local companies, municipalities, educational and research organisations. This task is carried out through programmes and individual projects based on the needs of customer. The main program is the national Centre of Expertise Programme.

RRTC is a coordinator of the network called ProMetal, which consists of three production studios; Steelpolis (Raahe), ELME Studio (Nivala) and JaloteräsStudio (Tornio). ProMetal is a member of the networks of the Bothnian Arc and Maritime Cluster and is active in finding international partners. All three studios have good contacts with all the local educational organisations and the University of Oulu.
