BioTurku

According to a recent strategy review, the BioTurku business areas (drug research, development and delivery, and diagnostics) operate in three main  therapeutic areas: cancer and hormonal diseases, central nervous system diseases and inflammation and infectious diseases. Major ventures in the cluster are the CCCTurku cancer centre and the FinnBIRD brain injury research and development centre. Investigations into biomaterials and preclinical and clinical research continue in Turku in all three areas. Turku BioImaging and its national PET Centre represent competencies in biomedical imaging.
