Energy Technology
An internationally strong cluster of energy technological companies operates in Ostrobothnia. In addition to the other actors in the area, also these businesses have an excellent chance to be involved in the planning and utilization of the projects in the programme.
In connection with the programme, the energy technology has been divided into four main groups from which the Centre of Expertise for Western Finland focuses on electrotechnology (particularly on the distribution of electricity, ICT and electric drives), energy solutions for industries and on distributed energy production (mainly on wind and solar power). The fourth main group consists of bio-energy technology. Common themes for the main groups include commercialization, growth, internationalization and environment.
