Energy Technology
Energy technology cluster program gathers the top know-how of Finnish energy industry
The global energy sector is undergoing a period of transformation – the demand for energy is going up while climate change forces us to develop more sustainable energy production methods. This trend creates businesses the opportunity for rapid growth and internationalisation.
The objectives of the cluster program are:
- Strengthen organisations’ competitiveness
- Create new business operations
- Enhance innovation
- Facilitate export growth
The international growth opportunities in the energy technology industry are significant. The demand for sustainable energy production and related technologies is experiencing a period of exponential growth all over the world. The cluster provides an existing wide network of companies interested in cooperation and representing the very best of Finnish know-how.
The Centres of Expertise that are part of Energy Technology Cluster are Western Finland Centre of Expertise (Oy Merinova Ab), Jyväskylä Region Centre of Expertise (Jyväskylä Innovation Ltd), North Karelia Centre of Expertise (Joensuu Science Park Ltd/ Lappeenranta Technical University, Varkaus), Satakunta Centre of Expertise (Prizztech Ltd), Tampere Region of Expertise (Technology Centre Hermia Ltd).
